Facing the Light

This is based on a painting by De Es Schwertberger. So all kudos goes to him for the fantastic idea. He is an amazing surreal painter and sculptor. Please check him out if you are not familiar with him. http://www.dees.at/dees_en.htm

I got the chance to check out Modo 301 and have been focusing on its sculpting and painting tools. No photo textures were used - everything is sculpted and painted. I didn't aim to do a 1:1 copy of De Es's 'Facing The Light' but instead tried to give it a personal twist.

There are some parts I'm not entirely happy with, but that's always the case, isn't it? I'll see if you can figure them out So, please C&C away. Thanks!

Done for a client at 20 Megapixel. Additional sculpting was done in Mudbox. Furthermore I've used VRay this time and did some tweaks to the shaders.
